About the Service

Mero is a performance meal system that provides personalized meal planning, macro-based nutrition guidance, and meal preparation tools for consumers.

In these Terms, “Mero,” “we,” “us,” and “our” mean Matt’s Macros Limited, a company based in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States, which operates Mero. “You” means the person using the Service. The “Service” means both:

  • the website at getmero.co, including the free macro calculator, the waitlist, and the articles; and
  • the Mero app on supported mobile devices, including your account, your plans, and any subscription.

Some parts of these Terms apply only to one of those. Where that matters, we say which. You can use the website without an account; the app requires one.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Mero, joining the waitlist, or communicating with us about the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. The Service is offered to users in the United States.

Signing in. App accounts are created and accessed through Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google. There is no separate Mero password. Your access to Mero therefore depends on the provider account you use: if you lose access to it, or you revoke Mero’s authorization from that provider, you may lose access to your Mero account and its contents through that provider. You are responsible for keeping access to the provider accounts you sign in with. If you use Apple’s Hide My Email, we receive a private relay address instead of your personal one, and email we send you reaches you through that relay.

Linked identities. One Mero account can hold more than one provider identity. Linking a second identity requires you to be signed in to the existing Mero account, and we do not merge two accounts simply because Apple and Google report the same email address.

Your account. Your account is for you. Keep your provider account and device secure, and do not let someone else use your account. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account. Tell us at [email protected] if you believe your account has been used without your permission.

Accuracy. The plans Mero builds are only as good as what you tell it. Please keep your profile, and especially your allergies and restrictions, accurate and up to date.

No Medical Advice

Mero does not provide medical advice. The information and recommendations provided through the Service are for general informational and educational purposes only and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition. You should consult a qualified healthcare professional before making changes to your diet or nutrition, particularly if you have any medical conditions or dietary restrictions. Information you give Mero about your body, allergies, training, and goals is covered by our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy.

User Responsibility

Mero plans meals; it does not prepare, inspect, or deliver food. You are responsible for reviewing all meal plans, recipes, ingredients, and nutritional information provided through the Service, and for deciding whether they are right for you. That includes checking allergens, ingredient suitability, portion sizes, and nutritional accuracy against your own needs, preferences, and health conditions.

Allergens. When you tell Mero about an allergy, it excludes recipes it has recorded as containing that allergen. That filtering works from Mero’s own recipe data, and it cannot account for everything: manufacturers reformulate products, brands and store-brand products differ, shared equipment and shared facilities cause cross-contact, and a substitution you make yourself changes what is in the dish. Mero cannot identify every allergen in the food you actually buy and cook, and it is not a substitute for reading the package. Always read the label on the product in your hand before you eat it. If you have a severe allergy, treat Mero’s filtering as a starting point and not as a clearance.

Labels and packaged products. Package sizes, formulations, and nutrition figures vary by brand and change over time. Where a plan or grocery list names a packaged item, check the actual label for the ingredients and the nutrition values, which may differ from the figures shown in the app.

Condition of food, cooking, and storage. You are responsible for choosing sound ingredients, checking use-by and best-before dates, cooking food thoroughly and to safe internal temperatures, and cooling, storing, refrigerating, freezing, and reheating it safely. This matters particularly for the batch cooking and prep-ahead guidance in Mero, where food is cooked once and eaten across several days. Mero’s prep and storage guidance is general advice; it cannot account for your kitchen, your equipment, your refrigerator’s actual temperature, or how a specific ingredient was handled before it reached you. If you are unsure whether something is still good, throw it out.

Mero does not guarantee that any information is error-free or appropriate for your specific circumstances.

No Guarantees

Results may vary based on individual factors including adherence, activity level, and personal physiology. Mero does not guarantee any specific health, fitness, or body composition outcomes.

Automated Features and Outputs

Mero uses automated systems and rule-based calculations to generate macro targets, meal plans, grocery lists, and preparation guidance from the information and preferences you provide. The app itself does not run on artificial intelligence; these outputs are produced by standard, deterministic computation. Mero does not send production personal data to general-purpose AI tools. Development and support may use synthetic fixtures, de-identified examples, or aggregate findings that cannot reasonably identify a person. The free calculator on the website works the same way: it applies a published formula to the figures you type in and returns an estimate. It is an estimate, not a plan, and it is not personalized advice. Outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for your circumstances, and you are responsible for reviewing them, including allergens and nutritional suitability, before relying on them.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Service, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, copy or reverse engineer non-public portions of the Service, scrape or harvest data, upload unlawful or harmful content, violate another person's rights, or use the Service for any illegal or abusive purpose.

Payments

Trial and price. Mero offers a 14-day free introductory trial followed by a monthly subscription, Mero Monthly. On the United States App Store that price is $9.99 per month. The store you buy through shows the final localized price and any applicable taxes before you confirm the purchase, and the price may differ by store, country, and currency. Subscriptions are purchased and managed through the applicable store, the App Store on iOS or Google Play on Android; purchase, renewal, cancellation, and restore behavior is supported by RevenueCat entitlement services on both platforms. You can cancel through that store before the trial ends to avoid being charged.

Trial eligibility. The applicable store determines whether your account is eligible for an introductory offer. Eligibility is generally once per store account, so if you have used a Mero trial before, the store may start billing immediately rather than opening a new trial. The store shows you the terms that actually apply before you confirm, and those are the terms that govern the purchase.

Offer codes. From time to time we issue a limited number of App Store offer codes. These apply to the App Store only and are redeemed through Apple, not through Mero. Offer codes are limited in number, may be restricted to new subscribers, may be limited to a particular region, do not stack with the introductory trial, and expire. One code is intended for one person; codes are not transferable and have no cash value. When a promotional period ends, the subscription auto-renews at the then-current price unless you cancel first. Apple presents the exact terms of an offer before you confirm it, and Apple decides whether a given account is eligible to redeem. We may stop distributing new codes at any time. That does not affect a code you have already redeemed, and Apple decides whether a valid code is accepted.

Subscriptions and Auto-Renewal

If you start a paid subscription, it is an auto-renewing subscription. Unless you cancel, it automatically renews at the end of each billing period, and the payment method on file with the store you bought through is charged the then-current price for the next period. Any free trial automatically converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless you cancel before it ends. You manage and cancel your subscription through that store, not through Mero directly; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Deleting your Mero account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription; you must cancel it separately through the store you bought it from. Refunds are governed by that store’s policies. If we change subscription pricing, we will provide notice as required, and price changes apply to future billing periods. Subscriptions, billing, and renewals are also subject to the terms of the store you bought through.

Refunds

Payments are processed by the store you bought through, and refunds are handled according to that store’s policies. Apple handles refunds for App Store purchases, and Google handles refunds for Google Play purchases. We generally do not control or issue refunds for either store. If you believe you were charged in error, contact the store you bought through, and you may also contact us at [email protected] and we will try to help where we can.

License to Use the Service

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use Mero for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not sell, sublicense, distribute, or commercially exploit the Service or its content, and all rights not expressly granted are reserved.

Intellectual Property

Mero content. Mero’s software, original written content, visual design, illustrations, branding, and the selection and arrangement of its recipe and nutrition library belong to Matt’s Macros Limited or its licensors, to the extent protected by applicable law.

Your personal use. You may use, print, and share the plans, grocery lists, prep guidance, and other outputs Mero creates for your personal, non-commercial use. This includes sharing them with members of your household, a coach, or another person helping you follow your plan.

Respecting the Service. Except where applicable law permits otherwise, please do not:

  • Sell or republish substantial portions of Mero or its content.
  • Use automated tools to systematically extract Mero content or data.
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the app or its non-public systems.
  • Use Mero’s name, logo, or branding in a way that suggests our endorsement or affiliation.
  • Systematically use substantial portions of Mero content to build a commercial dataset, competing service, or commercial machine-learning model without our written permission.

These limits do not restrict any rights you have under applicable law or ordinary descriptive references to Mero, such as writing about or linking to the Service.

Your information. You retain ownership of the information you provide. You give us permission to process it only as needed to operate, secure, and support Mero, as described in our Privacy Policy. This permission ends when the information is deleted, subject to the limited retention described in that policy.

Third-party materials. Some parts of Mero use material licensed from others, including software libraries, fonts, and nutrition reference data. Those materials remain the property of their respective owners and may be subject to separate license terms.

Copyright concerns. If you believe content available through Mero infringes your rights, contact us at [email protected] with enough information for us to understand and locate the material. We will review the concern and respond as appropriate.

All rights not expressly granted in these Terms are reserved by Matt’s Macros Limited and its licensors.

Feedback

If you voluntarily send feedback, ideas, or suggestions, we may use them to operate and improve Mero. Unless we agree otherwise in writing, providing feedback does not create an obligation for us to compensate or credit you. Please do not submit confidential information or anything you are not permitted to share. Our Privacy Policy explains how feedback is stored, when contact information is included, and how it is deleted.

Apple, Google, and the app stores

The Mero app is distributed through Apple’s App Store and Google Play, and your download and use of it are also subject to the terms that store presents to you. For Apple that includes the licence terms shown at the point of download and Apple’s Media Services Terms and Conditions. For Google that includes the Google Play Terms of Service. Where those store terms and these Terms cover the same subject, Apple’s terms govern your relationship with Apple, Google Play’s terms govern your relationship with Google, and these Terms govern your relationship with us.

Apple processes App Store purchases, subscriptions, renewals, and refunds on iOS, and Google Play processes them on Android. Neither store is responsible for the Mero service itself, except where its own terms require otherwise, and support for Mero comes from us at [email protected], not from Apple or Google.

Availability, Devices, and Updates

Supported devices. Mero may be distributed on supported iOS and Android devices through Apple’s App Store and Google Play, and requires a provider account you can sign in with. Availability may differ by platform, release channel, region, device, and operating-system version, and a platform may be limited to a testing track rather than generally available. We may change the minimum supported operating-system version as those platforms move on. If your device or OS version falls out of support, parts of Mero may stop working until you update.

Updates. Mero is updated regularly, including through over-the-air updates delivered inside the app. Some updates are required to keep using the Service, because the app and our servers have to speak the same version. We may stop supporting older app versions.

Availability and maintenance. We aim to keep Mero available, but it is an internet service and it will not be available all the time. It may be interrupted by maintenance, updates, a failure at one of our providers, or something outside our control. Where we plan significant maintenance and it is practical to do so, we will try to give notice. We do not promise any particular uptime.

What an interruption affects. Accepted plans remain stored on Mero’s systems. Viewing them, syncing your progress, generating a new week, or using some app features may require an internet connection and an available service, so an interruption can leave part of the app unusable until service returns.

Third-Party Services

The Service depends on third-party platforms and service providers. For the mobile service these are Apple, Google Identity services, Google Play Billing, RevenueCat, Laravel Cloud, Expo, and Resend. For the website and waitlist they are Cloudflare, Google Analytics, and Klaviyo. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and policies, and we encourage you to read them. We do not control how those services operate and we are not responsible for their acts or omissions, their terms, or their policies. Nothing in this section limits any responsibility we have to you that cannot be limited or waived under applicable law, and it does not shift onto you a responsibility that is ours.

Changes to the Service

We are actively building Mero and may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features, plans, or pricing at any time. We may also impose limits on certain features or restrict access to parts of the Service. We are not liable to you for any change to, suspension of, or discontinuation of the Service or any part of it.

Suspension or Termination

By us. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, create risk or legal exposure for Mero or other users, or if we discontinue the Service or a part of it. Where it is reasonable and lawful to do so, we will give you notice and, for something fixable, a chance to fix it first. We may act without prior notice where there is a risk of harm, a security or legal issue, or a serious or repeated violation.

By you. You may stop using the Service at any time. You can delete your account under Me in the app, or ask us at [email protected]. Our data deletion page explains what deletion covers.

Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. Your subscription is billed by the store you bought through, either the App Store or Google Play, so you must cancel it separately in that store’s subscription settings. If you delete your account without cancelling, that store may keep charging you.

What happens to your data. When your account is deleted, your plans, profile, and history go with it and we cannot get them back for you. If you want your grocery lists, plans, or prep guidance, save or print them before you delete.

Effect of cancellation. Cancelling a subscription takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You keep paid access until then, and we do not generally provide partial-period refunds; refunds are handled by the applicable store as described above.

Survival. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including intellectual property, feedback, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law, and dispute provisions.

Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted, accurate, secure, or error-free, and we disclaim all warranties not expressly stated, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Matt's Macros Limited will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses arising from your use of the Service. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.

Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Matt's Macros Limited and its officers, employees, and agents from claims, damages, liabilities, and reasonable expenses arising out of your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

Governing Law

Matt's Macros Limited is based in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your place of residence apply. Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.

Dispute Resolution

If you have a concern, please contact us first at [email protected] so we can try to resolve it informally. Most issues can be resolved this way. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it will be handled by the state or federal courts located in Clark County, Nevada, and you and Mero consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts, subject to any mandatory rights available to you under the consumer-protection laws of your place of residence.

General

Complaints. If something has gone wrong, write to [email protected] and tell us what happened. We will look into it and reply. Raising a complaint with us does not take away any right you have to go to a regulator, a consumer body, or a court.

Notices. We give you notice by email to the address associated with your account, including an Apple private relay address, or by posting in the app or on the website. You give us notice at [email protected]. By using the Service you agree to receive communications from us electronically and that they satisfy any legal requirement that a communication be in writing.

Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service and supersede prior agreements on that subject.

Severability and waiver. If a provision is found unenforceable, it is limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary and the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision, or a delay in enforcing it, is not a waiver of it, and a waiver on one occasion is not a waiver on another.

Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our consent. We may assign them to an affiliate, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets; your rights under these Terms are not reduced by such an assignment.

No third-party beneficiaries. Except where we say otherwise, these Terms do not give rights to anyone other than you and us.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time, for example when we add a feature, change how subscriptions work, or need to reflect a change in the law. The effective date above shows when they were last updated.

If we make a material change, we will take reasonable steps to tell you before it takes effect, by email, in the app, or by a notice on the website. Where the app asks you to accept the updated Terms, you will see them when you next open it. Changes are not retroactive.

If you do not agree to an updated version, you can stop using the Service and cancel your subscription through the store where you purchased it before the change takes effect. Your continued use after the change means you accept the updated Terms.
